NOAA announced the formation of our latest tropical storm for 2007. Chantal is packing 40 mile an hour winds and some rain too. Right now it’s somewhere near Nova Scotia heading northeast:
This means:
It BARELY qualified as a tropical storm.
It’s not even close to being a hurricane.
It will be of no threat to anyone.
Basically all three [...]

I actually joined the Earthlab website. This is the Al Gore sponsored site that’s supposed to tell me how to live more carbon friendly. I took the Carbon Lifestyle Calculator. I have a geothermal house, all appliances are 100% green, geothermal hot water, brick house that is supposed to emit the smallest footprint possible in [...]

This just in:
Publisher American Media Inc. said on Tuesday it will stop printing the Weekly World News, which for 28 years gleefully chronicled the exploits of alien babies, Elvis and animal-human hybrids and dead celebrities.
Sales of the National Enquirer and Weekly World News have dropped by about half over the last three or so years [...]

Livescience ran with that headline. Note the plural of accidents. That kinda caught my eye as I’m sure it would most people. Given the phobia a lot of people have about nuclear plants, I’m sure a lot of those people just agreed with it and went on. They KNOW accidents happen [...]

I just built a new house. It has geo-thermal heat, recycled plumbing, super-efficient hot water. All the works for a perfectly green house, or as close as I could get. After doing all that, the contractor went through the house sticking in those old time light bulbs that chew up energy, thereby ending the world [...]

Not too long ago, I was referred to in an unflattering way by Al Gore ( et al ):
…the people who still say that global warming isn’t real are actually in the same boat with the flat earth society. They get together and party on Saturday nights with the folks that believe the moon landing [...]
