New Space Craft?

This image is on Space.com with absolutely no explanation as to what it is:

Anyone got any ideas what this thing is?


UPDATE: April 7, 2007: Best I can tell, from what little research I’ve done, this is the main stage to the newest Indian PSLV rocket:

The most recent launch was January 10th of this year.  Not sure when the first image was taken.  Given the similarities in thruster configuration and the timing, I think this is a fairly safe guess.

      That is bizarre. I hadnt seen that yet. I will have to go over to space.com and check it out.

      Yes, I know what that is.. it is a spot on a photogragh so freakin small it is almost invicible. Most likely a booger from the photographer
