Another reason to worry about global warming: more and itchier poison ivy.
I kid you not.
The noxious vine grows faster and bigger as carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere rise, researchers report Monday.
Healthier plant life is something to worry about? What about the trees and plants that gives us life and absorb those pesky greenhouse gases?
Whew. [...]

I get an email notification of every earthquake that hits. I noticed the one that hit Java Friday night. It looked pretty powerful from what I got, but there was no immediate follow-up. I went to bed. The next morning I started reading about how devestating it was and how many people died. My heart [...]

I did a series of posts on the adventures of SpaceShipOne in it’s pursuit of the X Prize. Over there on the sidebar, I’ve got a link to the M-Prize. When I linked it, it wasn’t worth a penny. Now it’s about $3.5 million and growing fast. It is based on the success of the [...]

Storm sent me a link to the bald eagle webcam. It’s very cool.
A side note, bald eagles were re-introduced to my local area. Some of the local parks have been holding eagle watches at various times of the year. If you’re lucky, you can see the eagles in action. You have to be incredibly lucky [...]

Voyager I exited our solar system about a year ago. Voyager II apparently exited the solar system very recently. However, it wasn’t supposed to for another year. This told some very smart people something. The edge of our solar system apparently is not a circle, but an egg shaped object. To make it understandable to [...]

Is President Bush likely to see Al Gore’s documentary about global warming?
“Doubt it,” Bush said coolly Monday…….
Although Bush had never vocalized his opinion on global warming, he offered this during the dialogue:
“New technologies will change how we live and how we drive our cars, which all will have the beneficial effect of improving the environment,” [...]

What do you think this is:
Terrorist attack
Alien invasion
Radical environmentalists "preserving" the earth
Actually, it’s none of the above. It’s a controlled implosion of a closed nuclear reactor cooling tower. The only reason I’m posting this here is because it just shows that the buildings that did the reacting for years is perilously close to the cooling [...]
